SmoothTube is an independent Windows application for browsing and playing YouTube content. SmoothTube is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Google LLC or YouTube LLC.

Use of SmoothTube

You are responsible for using SmoothTube in a lawful way and for complying with the terms, policies, and account rules of YouTube, Google, Microsoft, Windows, and any other services you access through the app.

You are responsible for protecting any YouTube Data API key, OAuth client secret, access token, refresh token, and related credentials you create or enter into SmoothTube.

Intellectual property

SmoothTube is proprietary software. Its non-public source code, assets, designs, UI concepts, documentation, branding, and related materials are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual-property laws. All rights are reserved unless Northwind Lab grants separate written permission.

Installing or using SmoothTube does not transfer ownership of the application or grant permission to copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, rebrand, publish, sublicense, or commercially exploit SmoothTube except where such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Third-party services and trademarks

SmoothTube uses YouTube API Services, Google OAuth, YouTube websites, YouTube image servers, Microsoft WebView2, Windows, Microsoft Store distribution, the separately installed optional browser extension, and optional public metadata fallback providers. Those services are operated by their respective providers and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

YouTube, Google, Windows, Microsoft, and other names, logos, or trademarks belong to their respective owners. SmoothTube does not grant rights to third-party trademarks, APIs, services, or content.

Changes and availability

SmoothTube may change over time. Features can be affected by app updates, YouTube API quota, Google OAuth configuration, provider availability, Microsoft Store distribution, WebView2 behavior, and YouTube playback restrictions.

No warranty

SmoothTube is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The developer does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, third-party service availability, or compatibility with future changes by YouTube, Google, Microsoft, or other providers.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the SmoothTube developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses related to third-party services, account access, API quota, credentials, data, content, or availability.
